The cosmopolitan trend of the Food Hall lands in Madrid with Galería Canalejas. Up to 13 different restaurants are distributed among the more than 4,000 square metres of floor space that make up this great gastronomic hall. A large space in the form of a market of flavours that integrates culinary proposals inspired by the cuisines of the world.
Reputed chefs have designed specific proposals for this new space, which promises to be the new trendy gastronomic experience in the capital. 19.86 by Rubén Arnanz is the proposal of the Segovian chef, Castilian cuisine in a metropolitan format. Rubén is a promising young chef who already has a Michelin Star.
Julián Mármol, who holds another Michelin Star, has installed two new restaurants in this Food Hall: Monchis and The Eight. The former fuses Mexican and Japanese cuisine. The second, The Eight, presents the ember as its great ally. With the use of Binchotan charcoal, traditional Japanese charcoal, its sandwiches and hamburgers acquire a unique touch.
You'll also find Oriental, Italian, traditional, wine and meats and, of course, pastries, desserts and jams... It's all there, at Galería Canalejas!
"Dans le noir ?" is more than a restaurant, it is a unique sensory and human experience. It is about having lunch or dinner in total and absolute darkness, guided by blind waiter-guides.
In this restaurant you dine in the dark and put all your senses to the test: taste, smell, touch and hearing. Chef Edwin Cuevas creates dishes and plays with local ingredients to obtain different flavours, textures and smells in a tasting plate to enjoy in complete and absolute darkness. The originality of the ambience also makes the menu something special to discover. Enjoy an exquisite selection with your senses enhanced by a unique environment.
In addition, the experience that stands out the most is with the blind or visually impaired waiter-guides, so they will exchange social roles completely for the duration of the lunch or dinner. They are our eyes and our personal guides during the whole experience!

Located in the centre of Madrid in a building with more than 100 years of history, for the last 25 years it has been filled with opera, gastronomy, art, familiarity and hospitality. Drinking, eating, laughing, meeting friends and listening to live opera is possible on the same stage. It's fun with good taste.
Going back in history, the name La Favorita comes from an opera by Donizetti to which the Navarrese tenor Julián Gayarre was particularly fond of. Julián Gayarre (1844-1890) died in Madrid at the age of 45. He was at the zenith of his career, having triumphed from St. Petersburg to Buenos Aires, via London's Covent Garden, the Paris Opera, La Scala in Milan and, of course, the Teatro Real in Madrid.
His style of singing remains a benchmark to this day, in addition to his supernatural voice and the example of his work and perseverance, which took him from shepherding sheep in the Navarrese Pyrenees to the highest heights of musical art. His honesty and generosity are also, without a doubt, a good example for our times.
What stands out most about La Favorita is the atmosphere that every night and day is created. It has a fantastic outdoor space with a garden and several reserved spaces. It guarantees a special celebration with a good dose of Navarrese gastronomy and live opera entertainment.
