FITUR 2023

Madrid is preparing to host a new edition of its great International Tourism Trade Fair, known as FITUR, which will take place from 18 to 23 January at its usual venue at IFEMA MADRID.

FITUR is the second most important tourism fair in the world. Around 10,000 national and international companies take part in each edition and there are more than 50,000 visitors spread over the different days of the event. It is also the most important Ibero-American tourism fair.

The slogan of the 2022 edition was "We embrace the world. We are tourism" and had the Dominican Republic as a partner country, with more than 111,000 attendees, more than 600 exhibitors and the institutional presence of up to 70 countries.

This year the organisers have announced a total of 8,360 exhibiting companies, an estimated attendance of 82,000 professionals from the tourism sector or associated companies, and an influx of up to 30,000 members of the general public.

FITUR 2023 has designed an extensive programme to diversify the specialised public in different thematic areas. Thus, FiturTechy brings together the world of technology; FiturCruises brings together tourism platforms from the world of cruises; FiturSports does the same with the world of sports, and FiturLGBT+, among others, presents the latest developments in the world of LGTB+ tourism.

The FITUR 2023 programme kicks off with the XXVI Ibero-American Conference of Tourism Ministers and Businesspeople, on 17 January at 9.30 a.m., in Halls N101 - 102. Thus, bringing together experts, professionals and institutional representatives in the same photo, FITUR is giving way to a programme whose aim is none other than to strengthen the networks of the tourism industry, consolidate its recovery after years of uncertainty, and shed light on new practices, models, markets and opportunities for the sector.
