World Heritage

The region of Madrid is home to five sites included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, three of which are the urban enclaves of Alcalá de Henares, Aranjuez and San Lorenzo de El Escorial. Also included are the Hayedo de Montejo and the so-called "Landscape of Light", the enclave in the capital that includes such famous places as the Paseo del Prado or the Buen Retiro. We encourage you to discover them through attractive itineraries on foot or by bicycle, touring unique places that explain their belonging to this select group that holds the highest recognition of UNESCO in terms of cultural heritage.
