The Region of Madrid has welcomed the bathing season with the opening of official bathing areas, accessible until September 15th.

The five bathing areas are concentrated in four municipalities of Madrid, all within an hour's drive of the capital. In Rascafría you will find 'Las Presillas', in Estremera 'Los Villares' and in Aldea del Fresno 'Playa del Alberche'. Meanwhile, in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, swimmers can choose between El Muro and Virgen de la Nueva.

Thanks to the National Bathing Water Information System, officially registered bathing waters are subject to strict quality control.
