From May 9th to 26th, the International Festival Madrid en Danza, in collaboration with the Region of Madrid, celebrates its 39th edition.

With more than twenty shows, the festival presents dance at its best, with the aim of promoting and disseminating contemporary choreographic creation.

Since its creation, the festival has served as a fundamental platform for national and international artists, consolidating their talent and projecting their careers. Its international prestige is reflected in collaborations with leading theatres and institutions in cities such as Lyon, Berlin and New York.

Several venues in the Region of Madrid, such as the Teatros del Canal, the Teatro Auditorio Ciudad de Alcobendas, the Teatro Federico García Lorca or the Real Coliseo Carlos III, will host innovative proposals by artists such as the British choreographer Wayne McGregor or the collectives (La)Horde and Led Silhouette.

The festival will also take to the streets with a participatory event open to the public that will transform Puerta del Sol into a contemporary dance studio.

Madrid en Danza Festival not only celebrates dance in its most expressive form, but also consolidates the Region of Madrid's commitment to the movement arts, building a vibrant and ever-evolving future since its inception.
