On April 19, the Region of Madrid celebrates, as every year, La Noche de los Libros with more than 530 free activities around books and reading in almost a hundred municipalities in the region under the slogan A house forever.

More than 300 authors, 139 institutions and cultural spaces, 127 bookstores and 116 libraries participate in a participatory and multidisciplinary program that celebrates, in this edition, the many houses we inhabit: the planet, nature, the body, our thoughts or the city, through meetings, conversations and activities in various spaces of the Region of Madrid.

Although the Real Casa de Correos, seat of the Presidency of the Regional Government, will be the main stage of this Book Night, the youngest also have their space in the Casa de Postas with Chiquitectos, which will organize the workshop Casa hinchable. Other venues in the capital where to enjoy the activities of the literary night are the Plaza del Conde de Barajas, the Cuesta de Moyano, the National Library of Spain, the Casa de América, with the collaboration of the Embassy of Argentina in Spain, La Casa Encendida, the Museo Nacional del Prado, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, the Museo Arqueológico Nacional and the Goethe Institut of Madrid.

In addition, there will be storytelling, puppets, theater, concerts and presentations such as the shadow theater La luz del hogar at the Librería Lápiz y Papel in Aranjuez, the performance of the group Poesía de Ensueño at Notting Hill Bookshop in Alcalá de Henares or the meeting with Fermín Bocos at the Municipal Library of Arroyomolinos, among other proposals.
