From September 25 to October 29 will be held this year Surge Madrid en Otoño, a performing arts showcase of the Community of Madrid that celebrates a decade serving as an incentive for the scenic creation of this region.

In this edition, twenty-two alternative venues will become venues for Surge Madrid, in the capital city and in Alcorcón and Navalcarnero. These small-format theatrical spaces in the capital of Madrid and municipalities in the region serve as a laboratory to test formats, explore current issues or raise controversies.

The show will host 40 world premieres and is divided into sections: Premieres, with 35 proposals; Emerging, with five projects by new authors or companies; and Transversal Activities, with 14 works of diverse nature, from guided tours to photography. In addition, Conexion Mexico will offer two bets from the state of Jalisco, on the occasion of the celebration of Hispanidad 2023.

This year's 54 stage proposals make it one of the most intense and international editions.

Thus, Ibero-American companies and creators will once again have their place in Surge Madrid, which will allow them to continue building international synergies and make Surge Madrid's program even more pluralistic.
