The fifth edition of "A Villa Voz" will tour the eleven villages of Madrid until October 15. The Choir of the Community of Madrid will delight with these free choral concerts, which began last Saturday under the baton of maestro Jordi Casas. This musical program proposes a new journey through the unique corners of the Community of Madrid in an experience that combines tourism, heritage and music.
The program of this edition combines authors such as Isaac Albéniz, Tomás Bretón, Ruperto Chapí or Agustín Lara, among many others, with a recently created zarzuela composed by Javier Carmena, tenor and deputy director of the Choir of the Community of Madrid, entitled El Orgullo de Quererte (The Pride of Loving You).
All tickets are free until full capacity is reached and the musical tour, which has begun in Manzanares el Real (September 9) and Chinchón (September 10), will continue in San Martín de Valdeiglesias (September 16), Villarejo de Salvanés (September 17), Colmenar de Oreja (September 23), Navalcarnero (September 24), Nuevo Baztan (October 7), Patones (October 8), Rascafría and Buitrago del Lozoya (October 14) and will end in Torrelaguna (October 15).
