Teatralia Circus hosts family shows at the Teatros del Canal of the Region of Madrid

This festival, a reference in the international scene and an expected event for the Madrid public, will take place from June 16 to July 23.

The Region of Madrid hosts the Teatralia Circus Festival from June 16 to July 23 at the Teatros del Canal, with four shows of humor, clowning or acrobatics aimed at all families. Different disciplines, by UpArte, Vaivén Circo, La Fam Produccions and Leandre Clown, bring together all the ingredients to attract children and adults alike around humor, dexterity, discipline, precision and beauty.

With an approach in which all disciplines and genres are present, the Festival returns with a program that begins on June 16 and 17 with the Leandre Clown Company and its show N'imPORTE. Starring Leandre Ribera, a clown who has been touring the world for over 30 years with his humor, inspired by silent films, mime, gesture and the absurd.

With his latest creation: DESproVISTO, UpArte bets with his third work, presented on July 8 and 9, for the stripping of appearances, prejudices and roles to achieve the authentic; looking for the balance between risk, rhythm, aesthetics and humor.

The fusion of dance and circus comes with Vaivén Circo and its work Esencial (July 15 and 16), delving into an idea of beauty that appeals to simplicity and with a staging in which five characters play, dream and embark on an adventurous journey that will take them to hidden places.

Teatralia Circus concludes its program on July 22 and 23 with a tribute to the circus of yesteryear by Ambulant, from La Fam Produccions, from the Valencian Community and directed by the renowned artist Adrian Schvarzstein, a versatile creator who has worked with great troupes around the world. Ambulant features live music and an elaborate staging, in which disciplines such as Korean scales, hand to hand, juggling, diabolo, fixed bar, cyr wheel and clown are displayed.
