Madrid hosts MMMAD, the Urban Digital Art Festival

Until May 31, the capital hosts the Urban Festival of Digital Art of Madrid MMMAD.

The Madrid Urban Digital Art Festival celebrates its fourth edition in 2023, transforming the city once again into the international capital of digital art and new media during the month of May.

In this new edition the festival focuses on the diverse community of creators and audiences, generating a space for meeting, exchange of ideas and celebration around the most avant-garde artistic practices. The main objective of this festival is to delve into some of the most relevant issues of the sector, with the intention of democratizing access to culture and reaching diverse audiences; for this reason, all exhibitions and activities of this edition will be free of charge.

Also, MMMad wants to vindicate the role of public space as a cultural space, reaching every corner of the city through 422 screens that will show works by international artists throughout the month of May, making the city, once again, the epicenter of digital arts.

The MMMad program, a project founded and directed by Aida Salán, Cristóbal Baños and Diego Iglesias, is full of exhibitions, performances, workshops, installations, projections and conferences that can be enjoyed in a multitude of spaces such as the Casa Encendida, the Roca Madrid Gallery, or the Serrería Cultural Space, among others.
