From 2nd to 30th March 2023 and on the occasion of International Women's Day, which was celebrated on 8th March, Madrid is hosting a new edition of the 'Ellas Crean' festival of female creation.

In its 19th edition, Ellas Crean will once again bring together the best in music, theatre, art, film, dance and literature, as well as debates and performances in a female key.

The event will be held in different venues, such as the Museo Arqueológico Nacional, Casa de América, Museo Nacional del Prado, Biblioteca Nacional de España, Residencia de Estudiantes and Museo del Traje.

This cultural event organised by the Women’s Institute (Instituto de la Mujer) has a complete multidisciplinary programme that aims to praise and make known to a varied public, the creative and artistic work of women, both referents and new female figures to fight together for gender justice and for political and social change.

'Ellas Crean' Festival is configured as a multi-thematic cultural festival with a marked international character, unique in its genre.
