Three Wise Men parades

Our region celebrates the eve of the Three Wise Men Day with a multitude of parades throughout the territory. From the districts of the capital to localities such as Las Rozas, no corner is left without celebrating this family day.

Tradition marks 5 January as the eve of the Three Wise Men Day, the date on which their Majesties arrive in our country from the Far East. For their welcome, different retinues will be stationed in our municipalities.

In the capital, a week of parades starts on the 3rd with the departure of the parade in the Chamartín district, from Avenida Pío XII. On the 4th it is the turn of the districts of Carabanchel (Avenida de la Peseta), Ciudad Lineal (Avenida Marqués de Corbera), Moncloa-Aravaca (Plaza de la Corona Boreal), Moratalaz (Calle Fuente Carrantona), Tetuán (Calle Bravo Murillo) and Usera.

On the 5th, the eve of the Three Wise Men Day, it is the turn of Barajas (Plaza Mayor de Barajas), Latina (Plaza Puerta del Ángel) and Vicálvaro (Colegio Público Pedro Duque). Also on this day will be the traditional parade through the centre of the capital, which will leave at 18:30 from the Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz to reach the Plaza de Cibeles.

For its part, Fuenlabrada will host a royal procession on the 5th from the Avenida de España. Alcalá de Henares will do the same, from the Ciudad Deportiva del Val, at the same time on the 5th. The parade in Alcobendas will leave from the Salvador Allende Boulevard; in Las Matas, the parade will leave from the local sports complex and reach the Plaza Mayor. Other localities with royal processions on these dates are Torrelodones, from Avenida Rosario Manzaneque, Rivas, from the Miguel Ríos auditorium or Parla, from Calle Isabel II.

Their Majesties will have time to visit all these and many more places in our region. Choose your favourite date and celebrate the magic of the Three Wise Men with your family.
