Valle de Cuelgamuros

Just a few kilometers from the town center of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, is the Valle de los Caídos (valley of the fallen).

It has a cross carved into the rock with a length of 262 meters and a maximum of 41 meters for its height. Above this, we can observe the cross; 150 meters in height (built out of concrete and granite), which is visible from several miles around.
