The Royal Shakespeare Company's multi-award-winning musical based on the novel Matilda by Roald Dahl, is premiering a new season at the Teatro Alcalá in Madrid.

After years of successful performances in London and Broadway, this musical has accumulated more than 100 international awards, including 24 awards for Best Musical, 7 Olivier Awards, 4 Tony Awards and 5 Drama Desk Awards. Undoubtedly, it has become one of the most awarded musicals of the 21st century.

The central plot revolves around Matilda Wormwood, an extremely intelligent girl with a passion for reading, but who is looked down upon by her own parents.

Matilda The Musical, produced by SOMProduce and made by the creative team of BILLY ELLIOT, is a play full of feelings, emotion and humor, with a soundtrack that enhances the strength and delicacy of its story and with incredible choreographies.
