CIEMPOZUELOS

In the town centre of Ciempozuelos you will find such outstanding monuments as the Church of Santa María Magdalena, of Renaissance origin, with an imposing tower. Inside, special mention should be made of the magnificent Baroque altarpiece and a large oil painting by the painter Claudio Coello, one of the municipality's treasures. In this same square there is a sculptural monument to perhaps the most important Spanish architect of the 18th century, Ventura Rodríguez, born in Ciempozuelos in 1771.

Of particular interest is the Plaza de la Constitución, which maintains its essence and attraction, flanked by old wooden porticoed buildings, where the Town Hall is located. Strolling through the streets and squares of Ciempozuelos, you can also admire numerous examples of traditional architecture and discover the ancient history of this town, which dates back several centuries.
