Location: Different venues
The Fundación, Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid (FORCAM) will perform in the 2021-2022 season in different venues: the Teatro de la Zarzuela, with 89 performances, the Teatro Real or the Teatros del Canal. The central core of the new season will be at the Auditorio Nacional, where 14 symphonic concerts and 6 polyphony concerts will be held.
Of the concerts of the symphonic-choral series at the Auditorio Nacional de Música, 10 will be performed by the ORCAM (Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid) and 4 by the JORCAM (Joven Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid) with great names of the history of music such as Brahms, Berlioz, Bernsteins, Berio or Bach, together with names of contemporary music.
The inaugural concert of the symphonic cycle will take place at the Auditorio Nacional on September 16 and will show Diakun's first work. Marisa Manchado's El árbol de la rosa will be performed. And on October 28, Mourning, by J. Haydn, and Tragic, by F. Schubert. Other compositions will be A Requiem in our time, by E. Rautavaara, and Funeral Music, by W. Lutosławski.
The Christmas concert on December 23 will interpret the Cantata on the background of Alborán, by Ramón Paus. And Winkelman will be performing on January 31 with the work Conversaciones de árboles.
Other works with the same theme will be by the Spaniard Manuel de Falla, with Night in the Gardens of Spain, or In the Kingdom of Nature, by A. Dvorak, on March 14.
War and peace, in the concert of Bohuslav Martinu's Third Symphony, or Bach's profane cantata Sound, timpani! sound, sound trumpets!
This season also wants to pay tribute to the rhythms and symphonies of distant cultures, such as the Celtic, thus representing Alén, by Eduardo Soutullo on February 10.
On June 2, Szymanowski's Stabat Mater will be the protagonist, followed by Bach's cantata Thus God Loved the World. And all these concerts are not the only surprise.
The Community Choir will conduct the III edition of A Villa Voz, which will tour the 11 Villas of Madrid with concerts conducted by Jordi Casas and will carry out a series of concerts in the capital in collaboration with the Diocese of Madrid. The main composers of the series will be Bach and Messiaen.
One more year, both FORCAM and the Choir will take music to every corner of the region.
