ARCHAELOGIST FOR ONE DAY

From September to October, dramatized guided tours are held within the framework of "Historias en la Tierra".

The best four representative archaeological sites are the Roman city Dehesa de la Oliva, in Patones; the Roman road of Fuenfría, in Cercedilla; the Dehesa de Navalvillar, in Colmenar Viejo and the Roman city Complutum, in Alcalá de Henares. With 45 minutes of duration and for all audiences, the guided tours are a trip to the past through the stories of Romans, Visigoths and figures from modern times that guide the audience through the sites while they produce different instruments and they explain how was the place where they use to live. Nevertheless, in order to put in real archaeologists shoes, there is nothing like visiting the municipality of Pinto to participate in one of the "paleotalleres" offered by Arqueopinto for children from 5 to 12 years old, as well as the guided tours for children older than 13 years, that approach them to the Paleolithic in a funny way without missing the scientific rigour. Furthermore, we propose to visit the Regional Archaeological Museum in Alcalá de Henares.
