Located in a privileged natural setting of the Region of Madrid, is located the Royal Site and Villa de Aranjuez, a beautiful municipality that if you still don't know, we recommend you explore thoroughly. In addition to its historical heritage, you will find large green spaces famous for their groves and vegetable gardens that you can walk, cycle, boat and even on board their historic strawberry train. But as we advance you, this week we propose you to do it through five unique routes. Let's get started!      

Singular Trees Route

Discover the great variety of trees listed as unique in the Jardín del Príncipe, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This free visit that you will be able to make from Monday to Sunday through a pleasant walk or on board of a tourist train, will take you to discover the beauty of this garden of more than two kilometres that lodges in its interior species like ashes of Carolina, black walnut trees, acacias of America or bananas among many others.   

Truck Garden and the Wine Route

This unique visit will take you to know the particularities of their crops from the hands of the farmers themselves, as well as being able to purchase their seasonal products in situ, with the guarantee of quality from the riverside vegetable garden. After this walk, don't miss a few kilometres from the Royal Site of Aranjuez, the only winery in Spain built by the Royal House. You can discover this landscape of the Vega de Aranjuez by walking, horse or bicycle, in fact you can rent one at the municipal bicycle loan service ARANBIKE.

Myths and Fountains Route

Now we move to the gardens of Parterre and the Island, whose surroundings were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001. Once there, let yourself be carried away by the tranquillity of the place accompanied only by the pleasant sounds of the fountains. In the first garden you can see a jade fountain and the statue of Philip II. The garden of the Island, for its part, full of vegetation, will dazzle us with its mycological fountains. Water Route

To make this route, we will on board to the Tourist Boat that crosses the Tagus River to relax thanks to the vegetation that will surround us during the whole trip. Now that the good weather is with us, it is possible to go canoeing down the river. From the boat, we will see the Swan and Narcissus fountains located in the Prince's Garden, which are working during the weekends. Royal Days Route

Finally, this route will take us to different points of interest in the town, which once hosted courtly activities. Thus, we can see the Royal Palace, the 'plaza de Armas', different gardens, the Royal House of Labrador, the former palace of the Queen Mother, the Royal Theatre and even the bullring.
