Next weekend, the town of Moralzarzal hosts the International Poetry Festival (im)Prescindibles, a very special family event to enjoy this art, read on!
Under the slogan "migrants", this town is preparing for a festive and cultural day with recitals, performances and round tables on different topics, such as the work of translation in poetry.
The festival will pay tribute to three outstanding poets: Efi Cubero, Rafael Soler and Miguel Veyrat. In addition, Moralzarzal will be attended by up to 45 poets, some of them from the town itself. Some names are Inma Luna, Miguel Ángel Curiel and Raquel Vázquez. The international presence will be covered by the presence of the poet Marta Eloy Cichocka, from Poland, Marisa Martínez-Pérsico, from Italy or Roxana Crisólogo, from Finland.
In addition to the dissemination of poetry and national and international talent, the festival aims to make visible the spaces that dedicate a large part of their agenda to the promotion of this discipline. During the festival, the winner of the Asterión Prize for Essential Poetry will also be announced, an award for which more than one hundred poets are competing.
The programmed activities will also include an exhibition by Clara Luna, illustrator and poet, who constructs poetry through her images.
With this conference, Moralzarzal and the northern area of our region take on an unprecedented artistic protagonism that places them on the reference map of the sector. This first edition aims to set a precedent and position itself as a key point in the creation and dissemination of poetry.
