A new edition of the Hotel Tapa Tour is back for the sixth consecutive year. The informal haute cuisine festival in which, this year, 8 gastronomic routes have been organized to taste during 10 days 40 tapas of haute cuisine in twenty of the most exclusive hotels in Madrid.
Until September 26th you can enjoy a selection of unique tapas created for the II National Contest "Tapa Alimentos de España", which are now prepared and offered to the public at a unique price, affordable for all budgets. For the occasion, the hotels will also offer special signature croquettes.
You can taste exquisite croquettes of goat cheese, leek and mushrooms or cecina de León, among many others, which will be served with water, beer or soft drink, while the tapas, each one peculiar and different, will be paired with red, white or rosé wine, always from the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin.
At the Barceló Torre de Madrid hotel, for example, you will be able to taste a carpaccio of Iberian prey on corn pie. In the same area, the VP Plaza España Design hotel will serve a beef tenderloin tartar on a bed of crispy rice, accompanied by a Sentido 2018 red wine, from Bodegas y Viñedos Neo.
If you are still down for more, this year's edition introduces as a novelty the "gourmeetings", much more immersive culinary experiences in which you can go to the hotels in a group or join the other attendees to form an informal gastronomic jury and evaluate the tapas. You will be able to talk with the chef and sommelier and even vote for your favorite creations.
