This September, contemporary art returns with "Arte Vivo en las Villas", an initiative of the Community of Madrid that aims to fill the eleven Villas of Madrid with activities, exhibitions and artistic performances.

Residents and visitors can enjoy this project that began its activity in July and now returns in the last days of summer with performances until September 18 in these municipalities of the region that have preserved their rural essence: San Martín de Valdeiglesias, Torrelaguna, Manzanares El Real, Colmenar de Oreja, Navalcarnero, Rascafría, Villarejo de Salvanés, Patones, Chinchón, Buitrago del Lozoya and Nuevo Baztán.

Modern art and participative avant-garde with five artists, Marta Pinilla, Alexia Sayago, Miss Beige, Rev Silver and Lidia Toga, who will share space with the work of Madrid artists and other classical proposals made by the neighbors themselves in the public squares of the different localities, meeting places of daily life. Live and living art!

The music of artists such as Rev Silver will merge with traditional dances, puppet workshops or poetry recitals with the drawings and sculptures of Marta Pinilla. There will be workshops on esparto grass crafts and textile art, photography, poetry readings and contemporary dance and theater.

A whole artistic laboratory that has been commissioned by La Juan Gallery. Marta Pinilla's plastic work, inspired by naturalism, leads to performance. Alexia Sayago herself reflects with photography on the space between the spectator and the object.

Ana Esmith's conceptual work as Miss Beige deals with the cultural construction of femininity. Rev Silver, is a musical artist who mixes pop, experimental and electronic music. Finally, Lidia Toga is a visual artist whose illustrations are linked to the latest trends in Madrid.

The dates and places chosen during the month of September to enjoy this project are the 4th in Villarejo de Salvanés, the 5th in Patones, the 11th in Chinchón, the 12th in Buitrago del Lozoya and the 18th in Nuevo Baztán.
