Weather in Madrid
This summer the awaited summer nights return to CaixaForum, where you can enjoy the best entertainment. The event will consist of a drink and a tasting of a tapa and after the meal, the impressive auditorium will offer performances for all tastes.
On Thursday July 15 you have an appointment with the gospel. Five women of different vocal sensibilities called Black Pearls of Gospel will try to return the genre to the podium it deserves.
Natacha Kanga, mezzo-soprano, or Marie Nicole Leborgne, as contralto, will seek to recover that vindictive air that gospel sung by women in a mostly male world has always had. The influence of their music comes from nothing more and nothing less than milestones such as Clara Ward or Aretha Franklin.
And if what you want is not music but knowledge, Los inocentes, by Quico Cadaval, will immerse you on July 8 in the story of three protagonists: Manuel, Marquiños and Pastor. Both will try to tell stories about the Civil War combining humor with philosophy, always with the aim of moving you and making you think.
For the more daring and those who love to combine and play with genres, Clazzical will arrive on July 22 by Antonio Serrano. This performance mixes classical music with jazz. The recital will also transform songs such as the Hymn to Joy into a carnival dance that will keep you moving.
These summer nights will close on August 5 with the eclectic Christina Rosenvinge, a woman with an unmistakable voice, who will combine spoken word, song and poetry. In a few minutes she will try to capture her 25 years of creation and will interpret some of the words of her most important book, Debut.
Enjoy the Summer Nights in a different way at CaixaForum. Concerts, shows, tasting tapas and exquisite gastronomy and let yourself go.
