II Early Music Festival of Madrid

The II Festival de Música Antigua de Madrid is here! Enjoy music like never before from April 7 to 18, at Fernán Gómez Centro Cultural de la Villa, from Tuesday to Saturday from 8 pm

The festival will be a mix of concerts with an essentially historicist style of interpretation, which will help to have a greater understanding of the musical heritage. Early music fused with jazz, contemporary and flamenco dance, audiovisual effects, the voice of the Spanish Golden Age... are just some of the styles you will find in this festival.

The nine concerts programmed show the plurality and the high level of quality, creativity and interpretation of the repertoire of these great artists. The musicians of our country are the great bet to reach a wide audience: young, old, amateurs and new spectators will find wonderful suggestions for the future in the music of the past.

Music at the Court of Vienna and at the Court of Madrid, the great German Baroque masters Bach and Telemann, the sound of the Spanish guitar, the wind or the fusion with American and African sounds, are some of the shows of this second edition.

In addition, the festival musicians of the companies Acadèmia 1750 and Trifolium will give several master classes, courses, conferences and other participatory activities for you to enjoy music with a different approach. Several workshops will be offered that will also deal with specific topics related to early music, instruments and repertoire.

Access and registration are free by purchasing a ticket for any of the concerts. All concerts include a 20-minute pre-concert presentation.

Do not miss the opportunity to discover this wonderful festival of live music and art, a varied program and intense journey that will show you other perspectives of music.
