IV contest of the best torrijas of Madrid
Until April 11, you can taste the torrijas of the contest organized by the Association of artisan entrepreneurs of pastry and bakery of the community of Madrid (ASEMPAS), held to reward the best artisan torrijas. The winner in the traditional torrija category is the pastry shop 'Paco Pastel' in San Lorenzo de El Escorial. Take advantage of this magnificent opportunity to savor the best quality torrijas, an experience that will surprise even the most demanding palates.
Typical Madrilenian gastronomy during Easter Week
One of the most delicious aspects of Easter is the multitude of typical recipes for these dates. Sweets and traditional dishes for all tastes. Torrijas, buñuelos de viento, 'pasioncitos' from Morata de Tajuña, pestiños, 'soldaditos de Pavía', cod croquettes, 'potaje', 'el hornazo', 'huesos de santo', 'penitentes' from Alcalá... An infinity of recipes waiting for you to take a bite!
VII Fabada Route
The route of one of the most typical dishes of Spanish gastronomy can be enjoyed until Sunday April 4 in restaurants around the world that will be digitally geolocated on Google Maps, 'gastromapa' that can be consulted on the website.
In Madrid and other cities, solidarity fabadas will be prepared and there will be demonstrations and 'masterclass' that can be followed live on streaming platforms.
