Weather in Madrid
Until March 31 you can enjoy this traditional Madrilenian dish in numerous bars and restaurants in the capital. One of the typical dishes of Madrid and even of Spanish gastronomy. With the cold weather it is impossible not to feel like a good cocido: one of those served in three servings. Ideal for a cold winter day.
To enjoy the pleasure of traditional cuisine it is essential that you visit one of the participants of the XI Ruta del Cocido Madrileño. Many of them have two options to taste their menu: in their restaurant or in take-away versions so you can take the stew home and eat it at your leisure.
The restaurants are divided by geographical areas of the city of Madrid and the region, although two options are also proposed in Toledo and Segovia, so that all cocido lovers can find where to taste this wonderful dish.
In this edition Malacatín, Café de la Ópera, Casa Carola, La Bola, Los Arcos de Ponzano, La Gran Tasca, La Posada del León de Oro, Manolo, Los Galayos, La Taberna de la Daniela, El Botánico, Trastoque de Harvard, Sagaz 15, el Jardín de Baco, la Cruzada, Casa Maravillas, Lhardy, el Pajar de Fuente Hernando, la Taberna de San Isidro, la Posta Real, la Taberna San Isidro and el Parador de Chinchón, among others.
In many of the participating establishments you can take the stew home and have home delivery service.
The ambassador of this eleventh edition is Luis Suárez de Lezo, the president of La Academia Madrileña de Gastronomía. A luxury delegate for an exquisite dish that will be distributed in 37 restaurants and with which will be cooked more than 2,800 servings of stew, which means 600 kilos of noodles and 200 kilos of chickpeas. Find the restaurant that best suits you and do not miss it!
