The art galleries of the Region of Madrid offer the public free guided visits and dynamic visits to learn about the different exhibitions; this is the case of 'José Luis Alexanco. Ejercicio temporal' at Sala Alcalá 31, 'Del todo imposible' at Sala de Arte Joven, and 'Juan Valbuena. Donde doblan los mapas', in the Sala Canal Isabel II. Capacity is limited, don't lose your place!
José Luis Alexanco. Ejercicio temporal
Until November, the Sala Alcalá 31 will host the free exhibition 'Ejercicio temporal', which covers the work of Madrid-born José Luis Alexanco through seven chapters, which show the evolution and research of this artist.
With the aim of getting to know the exhibition better, the gallery is offering the visitors a series of guided tours by the hand of the team of mediators of Didark, which will take place on Saturdays from the 19th of September to the 31st of October, after registering at this link. At the same time, it will be possible to take these guided tours for groups of between 6 and 10 people, from Tuesday to Friday at 11am, 12.30pm and 5pm, by booking your place on 917208251.
Del todo imposible
For its part, the Sala de Arte Joven invites us to reflect, with the exhibition 'Del todo imposible', on the possibility that this gallery has the capacity to remember and compile the stories that it has hosted. The exhibition is part of the winning projects of the 11th edition of the competition 'Curator Wanted', which bets on new curatorial models.
From September 22nd until October 30th, a series of free dynamic visits related to the exhibition will take place, which will address the fact that it is impossible to see everything, especially in the artistic field. Unlike traditional guided tours, those attending will be able to participate, generating a forum for debate on the works on display. Registration is required in advance, so don't forget to get your place here. The appointment will be from Tuesday to Friday at 11am, 12.30pm, 5pm and 6.30pm.
Juan Valbuena. Donde doblan los mapas
Finally, until 15 November, the Sala Canal Isabel II will host the exhibition 'Donde doblan los mapas', which brings together the five most personal projects of the photographer from Madrid, Juan Valbuena.
Like the previous ones, it is possible to explore the exhibition thanks to the guided tours organised by Caligrama Proyectos Culturales, which will take place on Friday and Saturday 18, 19, 25 and 26 September, 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 and 31 October, and 6, 7, 13 and 14 November. It is essential to register in advance at this link.
