Surge Madrid en Otoño

From September 27 to October 25, the Region of Madrid will host a new edition of the show of scenic creation 'Surge Madrid', a cultural proposal, which kicks off the autumn program, and will have 152 performances that will take place in 20 spaces in the region.

Little by little, we are getting back to normality, cautiously restarting the cultural activity although without lowering our guard regarding the health crisis generated by the COVID-19. That is why one of the most awaited appointments of scenic art, which had to be delayed, returns to celebrate its seventh edition.

Backed by the success of previous years, over the next few days we will be able to enjoy the programme of Surge Madrid en Otoño, which will take us on a tour of the region, through the different proposals.

Coordinated by Alberto García and Natalia Ortega, this new edition will feature 43 premieres, of which 25 are proposals for theatrical creation, 12 are linked to movement, 12 are multidisciplinary and the last one, which revolves around languages related to music.

Seventeen theatres and venues in the region such as Artespacio Plotpoint, Espacio Guindalera, Sala Cuarta Pared, Teatro Pradillo or Teatro Montalvo (Cercedilla), which is joining in the show this year, are just some of the venues where you will be able to enjoy this special edition, with companies and creators such as LaMala Compañía Teatro, Al descubierto Physical Theatre, El Arándano Creaciones or La Red Company, among others.

In parallel, nine proposals for Transversal Activities have been programmed, ranging from photography, writing or journalism, to workshops on work adaptation, an immersive installation, a visual projection, or urban art.

As it could not be otherwise, the festival will comply with all the necessary protocols to protect the health of all the people, reducing as much as possible the capacity to guarantee the distance.
