From the 18th of July until the 30th of August, the Madrid towns of Alpedrete, Guadarrama, Moralzarzal, Navacerrada, Cercedilla, Mataelpino and Los Molinos will host more than 25 artists in the 10 concerts programmed in the new edition of the 'Sierra Musical Festival'. Don't miss it!
The 37th edition of the festival began on July 18th with a performance by Nanako Uchi and Mario Molina as a piano duo. A very special edition that commemorates Beethoven, and invites us to discover "El resurgir del Arte y del Artista" (The Rise of Art and the Artist), in a very special moment, in which after having lived a complicated period the past months, it seeks to make the audience enjoy the scenic proposals.
After last Saturday 25 July's performance, we will have to wait until 1st August in Moralzarzal, to vibrate with 'La magia del número siete por Beethoven y Ravel' (The magic of the number seven by Beethoven and Ravel). The next day, in Navacerrada, Andrea Bernal and Gonzalo de la Hoz will perform as a cello and piano duo with 'Beethoven y la música popular' (Beethoven and popular music).
On August 9th it will be the turn of Arantxa Lavín, Marian Herrero and Alfonso Aguirre, who will immerse us in "Las raíces españolas de Beethoven" (The Spanish Roots of Beethoven). For their part, Vicente Cueva and Daniel del Pino will wake up "La Primavera" (The Springtimee) the following week, specifically on August 15th; and the following day Claudio Constantini on bandoneon, accompanied on piano by Louiza Hamadi, will offer a tour of the music from Stravinski to Piazzolla, through Albéniz or Ravel.
On August 22nd, the "Concierto Jóvenes Talentos" (Young Talents Concert) will take place in Mataelpino, with Mirian Jódar, Cristina Regojo and Pedro Jódar. And closing the festival, the soprano Cristina Toledo with Albert Nieto at the piano will offer a "Homenaje a Victoria de los Ángeles" (Tribute to Victoria de los Ángeles), to remember great artists who have left us, on August 29th in Guadarrama; and on the 30th of the same month in Los Molinos, Diego Ares will perform "Bach: La reconstrucción perfecta" (Bach: The perfect reconstruction).
