We will still have to wait until next autumn to enjoy the seventh edition of ¡Bienvenidos a Palacio!, but for now and in an effort to improve the confinement the Region of Madrid invites you to enjoy a preview, discovering in a virtual way three palaces: the Palace of Infante Don Luis, the Liria Palace or the Buenavista Palace.
The Regional Ministry of Culture and Tourism promotes this well-known programme of guided visits of palatial buildings in which experts explain the architectural evolution of the buildings, their ornamental phases and their uses.
As we advanced you, we will have to wait until autumn to be able to visit these buildings, attend conferences or enjoy the dramatized visits or the concert cycles, but for the moment, we suggest that you visit three of the palaces that will be part of the new edition.
On the one hand, the Palace of Infante Don Luis de Borbón, property of the Boadilla del Monte Town Hall which, considered one of the best examples of palatial architecture of the 18th century, was initially planned as a recreational villa in which to enjoy hunting, and later became the main residence of the Infante Don Luis, the youngest son of Felipe V.
For its part, the Liria Palace located in the capital and belonging to the Casa de Alba Foundation, invites you to visit its rooms through this link, which house works of great value by important artists as Goya, Velázquez, Zurbarán, Rubens, Murillo, Greco or Titian, among others.
Finally, you can also virtually explore the Buenavista Palace, the current headquarters of the Army, a building that has witnessed much of the history of our country, and has spectacular collections of paintings, tapestries and art treasures.
What are you waiting for to discover it?
