The lovers of the exhibitions have a great opportunity in the capital since the offer is very varied. Important exhibitions such as those offered by great museums such as the Prado in its bicentennial, the Thyssen-Bornemisza with 'Impressionists and photography', the Reina Sofía with 'Jörg Immendorff'. The Task of the Painter', or even other halls and galleries such as 'Boldini and Late 19th Century Spanish Painting. The spirit of an Age' in the Fundación MAPFRE Recoletos Exhibition Hall, 'Brueghel: The Fascinating World of Flemish Art' in the Gaviria Palace or 'Luxury. From the Assyrians to Alexander the Great' in CaixaForum to name a few. In this link you will find the most relevant of the season and in our cultural agenda, those that you are still in time to see next to those that have just been inaugurated.

An ideal plan for all ages are the shows that host the various theatres and halls in the region, and that you can find here. Musical shows of today, yesterday and always as 'The Lion King', a classic in our billboard, that will not leave anyone indifferent. But there are also great premieres that we recommend you not to miss because they will delight the whole family: 'Circo de Hielo 2', 'On Sundays at the theatre in San Lorenzo de El Escorial', or 'Circo Price en Navidad'.

Another option is the new edition of 'Juvenalia' which will take place from 5 to 9 December. An educational leisure meeting, aimed at children and young people, with educational content that contributes to intellectual development, affective and social, but at the same time promotes fun through robotics, sports, magic, and much more.

The lovers of the open air, have in our region a great offer available also for a very varied public. From getaways to discover the customs and heritage of the different localities, to hiking routes of low difficulty to do with family, through the sport par excellence of the season, skiing.

Although if you want to explore Madrid in depth, here you will find several proposals depending on the days you spend in the capital.

Finally, and taking advantage of the fact that Christmas is coming, don't miss the impressive Christmas lights of the city, as well as important towns such as Torrejón de Ardoz and Alcalá de Henares. During the next few days, the different town halls will publish their complete programme so that you can enjoy the Christmas atmosphere of the region, and even make your first purchases, as some of the most famous flea markets will soon be installed, such as the one in the Plaza Mayor, or the craft market on the Paseo de Recoletos.

But this is just a brief sample of everything you can do. Come to meet us and taste our gastronomy, vibrate with the night plans... The Region of Madrid is waiting for you!
