The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum seeks to bring art closer to the youngest through the #VersionaThyssen competition, which is now in its second edition and invites creative people between the ages of 16 and 35 to participate, so that they can freely version a work of art from among those selected by the art gallery itself. Come and participate!
Throughout the year, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum offers young people the opportunity to reinterpret art in their own way thanks to a unique competition that consists of four editions. The second edition of '#VersionaThyssenII' was launched on 19 June and will end on 14 July, the results of which will be announced on 20 July.
To participate in any of the editions, all you have to do is share your Instagram creation with the hashtag #VersionaThyssen, the title of the work, the title of the piece on which it is based (of those proposed on each occasion), and the technique used. It will be possible to participate in solitary, with works made by more than one person, as well as with more than one work by artist.
From here, a committee of experts will evaluate the works according to their originality and aesthetic quality, from among the six original proposals. And as it is proposed to version six paintings, there will be six prizes: three first prizes for the three works considered to be of the highest quality, consisting of a Preferred Pass to the museum (with free access for one year), and an amount of €700, and three second prizes, consisting of a Preferred Pass to the museum.
If you feel like discovering the winners and seeing some of the versioned works, don't miss the nights #VersionaThyssen, one for each edition, to which you will be able to access for free with previous reservation of entrance. The date will be published on the museum's website a few days before the celebration, and a link will be set up to make the reservation until full capacity is reached.
The next appointment will be on Saturday 20 July, but there are still two more celebrations that will take place between September and December of this year. Discover authentic art treasures from another point of view!
