“Licra", creative processes
Lugar: Sala de Arte Joven
The Sala de Arte Joven, located in Avenida de America, in Madrid, hosts the exhibition "Licra", a winning proposal in the 12th edition of the "Curator Wanted" initiative. This call aims at rewarding new curators and promoting new curatorial models, for which Licra has been recognized.
The exhibition provides a space in which references, events and experiences surrounding the creative process of a work of art are shown. The creators, the artists, and their circumstances, the details of their lives, are the decisive elements that orbit around the creative process. This is the inquiry proposed by Licra, an exhibition process that focuses on the surroundings of the work and not so much on the final piece itself.
The exhibition is commissioned by Lorenzo G. Andrade and Javier Cruz. Its objective is not to reach closed conclusions, final, closed facts; rather, the intention is to expose processes, surrounding situations, determinants of the works and of the artists' tasks during the elaboration of their art pieces.
The exhibition can be visited until November 14. On Mondays the hall remains closed.
