NAUTICAL TOURISM

Although Madrid is an inland city, its reservoirs and rivers offer a wide range of water sports in various parts of the Community: canoeing, sailing, rowing, rafting and all kinds of activities organized by active tourism companies in our region.

The largest reservoir in Madrid is the Pantano de San Juan. It is home to the Real Club Náutico de Madrid, which has sailing and nautical schools where you can obtain official sailing qualifications. This place is the only navigable space in the Community and you can feel the speed renting motorboats.

In the reservoirs of El Atazar, Pedrezuela, Valmayor and Picadas you can use sailing boats. Several clubs are based at the Valmayor and El Atazar reservoirs. Visit one of the sailing clubs or nautical activity companies to rent boats or take sailing and windsurfing lessons.

Without leaving the capital you can practice canoeing and rowing. There are activities organized by the Federación Madrileña de Piragüismo and the Federación Madrileña de Remo.
You can get more information in the different Canoeing Clubs.
