Telefónica Collection. Cubism(s) and Experiences of Modernity

Another exhibition that you can't miss is the one proposed by the Museo Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, which is the result of an agreement with Fundación Telefónica. Thus, since last 22nd November, we can see in the Sabatini Building a selection of more than 70 works that show the great plurality of creative proposals generated by this artistic movement and which give rise to a wider reading about it. 

Ana Benegas. En lo eterno. Esculturas en bronce
The Tiflological Museum, shows the work of this Spanish artist born in San Sebastian until March 17. The sculptures exhibited have the titles in Braille, and are provided with QR codes, with information accessible to people with blindness or visual impairment through mobile phones. In addition, they have intelligent beacons designed to make it easier for visually impaired people to identify and locate nearby objects. 

Fortuny (1838-1874)
The Prado Museum will be hosting until March 18th in the rooms A and B of the Jerónimos building, the first anthological exhibition dedicated by the Madrid art gallery to this 19th century Spanish artist of great international renown and who was a true renovator in all the fields of art that he cultivated. Thanks to this exhibition, which includes 169 works, some thirty of them from the Prado and the rest of the major collections and museums in Europe and the United States, we will travel through the different stages of his production as a painter, watercolorist, draftsman and engraver, including his facet as an antique collector, in close relationship with the search for quality, colour and light in his paintings. 

Harry Potter. The Exhibition
Ifema, surprises the unconditional fans of Harry Potter with this exhibition that due to its success, has been extended until April 2nd. A unique opportunity to relive the favorite scenes from the movies, access to the most popular locations and see first-hand hundreds of objects and artefacts used in the feature films. Don't let them tell you! 

La generación del 87. Orígenes y destinos, 1987/2017
Until April 8th, don't miss this exhibition in which through a dialogue with our close past, we will be able to understand our future, analysing the evolution of Spanish society through the personal evolution of 87 characters. 

Generación 2018
Until April 15, La Casa Encendida will allow us to see the exhibition of the 'Generaciones' winners. This is the call created by the Montemadrid Foundation and is aimed at artists under the age of thirty-five. 

Dibujos de Rosario Weiss (1814-1843)
The Biblioteca Nacional de España (National Library of Spain) presents more than a hundred drawings by Rosario Weiss Zorrilla (Madrid, 1814-1843), as well as some prints and paintings by this author, perhaps better known for her relationship with Goya than for her status as an artist. 

Reinterpretada IV: Alicia Martín 'Archivo 113'
The Lázaro Galdiano Museum hosts the fourth edition of the project of Rafael Doctor 'Reinterpretada', which began in 2014. Under the title 'Archivo 113', in reference to the file assigned by the General Commissariat of the Service for the Defence of National Artistic Heritage (SDPAN), opened in 1939, to the properties that formed the artistic collection of José Lázaro Galdiano, Alicia Martín presents until May 6, around thirty works that reinterpret some of the works related to this file. 

Pessoa. All Art Is a Form of Literature
Until 7 May, the Reina Sofia Museum is hosting this exhibition in the Sabatini Building, which brings together more than 160 works of art (painting, drawings and photography) by some 20 artists, together with documentary material from various private collections and institutions such as the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the National Library of Portugal and the Centre Georges Pompidou, among others. The exhibition brings the spectator closer to the Portuguese avant-garde scene developed between 1914 and 1936 and in which the poet Fernando Pessoa (1888-1935) participated through his extensive and versatile artistic proposals. 

Se va mi sombra, pero yo me quedo. Ilusión y fotografía en el Romanticismo
Until 13 May, the rooms of the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Romanticism present 20 historical photographs in which reality and photography are linked to see how they lived in Elizabethan interiors, now reconstructed in the own galleries. 

Gerardo Contreras. La mirada amable

The Exhibition Hall 'El Águila' proposes us until 15th May this exhibition in which through 77 photographs, we will know the optimistic vision of a press photographer during the dictatorship. Guided and dramatized visits have been organised for free to accompany the exhibition, which can be attended upon registration.

Auschwitz. Not far away, not long ago
More than 600 original objects, mostly from the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, tell the story of this concentration camp through an emotional tour of the Canal Art Exhibition Centre. After 7 years of intense work, this exhibition premiered worldwide on December 1st, and can be visited until June 17th.

El templo de Abu Simbel. Ramsés, rey de reyes
The 'Jardín de la Vega' in Alcobendas is hosting this exhibition until next month of July, which will transport us to Egypt for a few moments. Thanks to the Egyptian craftsman Hany Mostafa, we will be able to visit a detailed replica of the temple of Abu Simbel, declared a World Heritage Site and built around 1284 BC.

Espacio Miró
Completing our listing, we propose you to know this new space located in the Fundación MAPFRE Recoletos Exhibition Hall. It is a permanent exhibition with sixty-five works by Joan Miró, from different collections, and four sculptures and an oil painting by Alexander Calder, which allow us to tour the career of one of our most representative and universal artists of the twentieth century.
