The essential event for the tourism sector, a world reference in its category and celebrating this year's its thirty-eighth edition, takes place from 17 to 21 January at IFEMA. This is a unique opportunity in which the professionals of the sector present their novelties and the attending public travels around the world without having to leave the fair enclosure.
The International Tourism Fair in its 2018 edition is here to present the novelties of a sector that is the driving force of our economy. Undisputed leader as a meeting point for tourism in the Ibero-American community and a world reference, FITUR 2018, incorporates a series of novelties in this edition, which as has been happening in previous years configures an agenda of presentations, offers and events very complete and varied.
The professionals of the sector have a meeting point, to know first-hand opportunities, new trends, business models, in which the tourist community evolves so that their destinations are more attractive and offer what is increasingly demanded by the public, especially attention, quality and service.
These days have room for wholesalers and tour operators, travel agencies, transport companies, of course hoteliers, the world of leisure and culture, service companies in general, the media, those official governmental, regional and local, both national and international, the professional associations in different fields such as leisure and cultural tourism, sun and beach tourism, active tourism, major national and international circuits, and a long etcetera that represents a unique opportunity for the tourism sector.
Within the days, it is worth highlighting the different FITUR that take place and that over the years have become consolidated as focal points of the activity, such as FITUR Tech, in which technology is put at the service to improve the user experience. FITUR Salud, as a reference platform for growing health tourism. FITUR Gay (LGTB), which offers proposals for a kind of traveller with specific needs and growing demand. FITUR Shopping, or how to go deeper into shopping tourism. FITUR B2B, professional meetings to establish or strengthen alliances. INVES TOUR, forum for the promotion and sustainable development of tourism in Africa. FITUR Know-How & Export, in which Spanish tourism companies present their potential, knowledge, services and tourist products to other potential international markets. And last but not least this year's novelty, FITUR Festivales, with the aim of attracting and encouraging tourism through the festivals and concerts that take place in our country, with Spain Live Music (Association for the promotion of tourism).
As always, FITUR will have the participation of tens of thousands of professional visitors and the general public, as well as national and international organizations and companies. Also and to put the relevance of the event in context, the King and Queen of Spain will inaugurate the event as has been done in previous editions.
